Apple seems to be on a new update spree this week, having released major upgrades for users of iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and OS X. Among these updates are Logic Remote 1.1 and Podcasts 2.0.2 for iOS customers.
An iPad-based companion tool for Logic Pro X, MainStage 3, and GarageBand on the Mac, Logic Remote extends the functionality of these music apps by turning your Apple tablet into a keyboard, drum pad, guitar fretboard, mixing board, or transport control.
Version 1.1 comes with an all-new design that takes cues from the flat iOS 7 and adds more scale choices for Touch Instruments. If you rely on Logic Remote to put bread on the table, this update is a must-have.
Podcasts 2.0.2 isn’t exactly a feature-packed release. In fact, it brings nothing new to the table except a fix for “an issue where the 15-second skip buttons may not appear on the lock screen when used with iOS 7.1,” according to Apple’s documentation.
Not many people are entirely satisfied with the official Podcasts app, but the company continues to make an effort and please everyone with a small update once every other month.
