14 DAY TRIAL // Server Admin Tools 10.7.3 is now available from Apple. The package includes the latest versions of a number of applications targeting Lion Server.
Comprising Podcast Composer, Server Admin, Server Monitor, System Image Utility, Workgroup Manager and Xgrid Admin, the Server Admin Tool 10.7.3 update includes the following improvements, according to Apple’s Support site.
Server Admin Improves Gateway Setup Assistant. Makes DNS log visible. There are additional fixes for Server Admin in the Lion Server v10.7.3 update, described in this article.
System Image Utility Reliably saves volume name in a NetRestore workflow.
Workgroup Manager Fixes an issue that could cause the Connect button to be dimmed (grayed out). Improves application stability.
Since newer versions of the Server Admin Tools always supersede the older ones, 10.7.3 will also include all of the improvements delivered by Server Admin Tools 10.7.2.
You can install Server Admin Tools 10.7.3 by using the Software Update mechanism on your Mac, which means the update will be performed automatically for you (as long as you have an older version of the Server Admin Tools installed).
Alternately, you can manually download the updated Server Admin Tools from Apple Support Downloads or from Softpedia (link below).
Apple makes an important note, saying that “If you have moved any of the Server Admin Tools out of their original locations (inside /Applications/Server/), the update may continue to appear in Software Update even after you have installed it.”
If that’s the case on your machine, you need to “Return the Server Admin Tools to their original location before using Software Update, or remove any duplicate copies of the Server Admin Tools.”
Server Admin Tools 10.7.3 weighs in at 202.59 MB and can be installed on OS X Lion Server and OS X Lion Client.
