Apple is supposedly eyeing 55- and 65-inch Ultra HD TV panels from LG Display to make its much rumored full-fledged TV set.

A report from DigiTimes says, “Rumors are circulating in the market that Apple is interested in purchasing 55- and 65-inch Ultra HD TV panels from LG Display.”

Of course these rumors have been making the rounds for a while now, so nothing is really new here. That includes the additional tidbit that “Apple is still testing the technology and has yet to finalize its orders with LG.” In other words, no Apple HDTV this year.

LG is reportedly talking with Sony and AU Optronics over the feasibility of the panels, and the Taiwanese publication adds that Sharp may also be a potential panel supplier for Apple.
