Apple has hired a former Yahoo! executive, Jessica Jensen, to join its iAd team under the guidance of Todd Teresi - also a recent acquisition at 1 Infinite Loop, Cupertino, California.

The WSJ’s All Things D reports that Jessica Jensen will be answering to Teresi, who has also worked at Yahoo! and has been an advertising executive at Adobe as well.

Jensen has aided Yahoo’s critical women’s initiatives, including Shine, according to Kara Swisher blogging for the WSJ. Her departure is regarded as a blow to the newly instated CEO, Scott Thompson, who had big plans for Yahoo’s media businesses.

Previously, Jensen worked for Yahoo’s Americas unit dealing with strategy. Before working for Yahoo!, she worked at LowImpactLiving.com, a green-housing-sector site founded by herself.
