Developers are signaling that iTunes Connect has reopened a day early. The service had been scheduled to go back online today, December 29th, but app makers have been able to use the backend since December 28th.

iTunes Connect is a dedicated platform for submitting and managing iOS and Mac applications. The backend is also used to obtain sales and finance reports, manage users and In-App purchases, request promo codes, and more.

According to developer reports, Apple quietly reopened the gates to iTunes Connect yesterday, even though the service wasn’t due to go back online until today.

The reasons behind this move are unknown but the fact that application downloads usually spike up during the holiday season may have something to do with it. Moreover, some developers reported that price changes scheduled for December 25th started to appear.
