The Apple TV, a special device designed by the company to enable digital content distribution between a computer equipped with Mac OS X or a Windows machine and a high-definition widescreen television, will be released tomorrow as the company announced in San Francisco on January 9, 2007.

"Investor's Business Daily reports that the Apple TV will be shipping on Tuesday. This information is not particularly top-secret, as all early web-orders for the Apple TV reflect a March 20th ship date. The Apple TV was originally set to be shipping in February, but was delayed until March. Apple has already seeded users with software updates to support the upcoming product. iTunes 7.1 introduced a new "Apple TV" preference menu that shows all available Apple TV's," MacRumors.com sustained in an article.

As the publication said, Apple TV was first scheduled for February 2007 but it was then delayed until March because the company sustained the product must be improved with some new functions. Let's tave a closer look on the Apple TV specifications.

Many users are complaining about the small hard disk included in the product, sustaining the 40 GB internal HDD is extremely small and it doesn't allow users to store important data transferred from the Mac or Windows systems. Then comes the amount of the memory that is currently offered as a 256 MB 400 MHz DDR device. Quite low if we think the device will interact with powerful products such as Macs and Windows PCs that are usually equipped with a huge amount of memory.

Although some of the specs are quite disappointing, the dimensions of the upcoming Apple device are very attractive: 7.7x7.7x1.1 inches. If you didn't know, Apple is currently selling Apple TV for $299.
