14 DAY TRIAL // Registered Apple developers who would like to test their apps against iOS 7.1 and Apple TV Software are invited to download the latest betas from the iOS Dev Center.
Developers who want people to use their apps with AirPlay are required to test this feature using the latest Apple TV Software beta. Apple explains:
“Apple TV Software beta enables users to mirror content of an iPad to an Apple TV using AirPlay. Apple TV Software beta is being provided to test the latest AirPlay functionality with your iOS apps and web sites.”
Unlike with iOS, after installing the Apple TV beta, users can revert back to a public software release if they want. To do that, simply connect the Apple TV to iTunes, select the device in the Source list, and then click Restore.
Restoring through iTunes will reset your Apple TV settings, accounts, and configuration, so be careful.
