14 DAY TRIAL // After rolling out new iOS and Xcode betas to its sea of developers, Apple this weekend released Apple TV Software Beta 2 for testing iOS apps with AirPlay integration.
According to a notice on the iOS Dev Center, Apple TV Software Beta 2 is “a pre-release version of Apple TV Software to be used for testing AirPlay with your iOS apps.”
These apps generally include games, but also education titles, which enable iPhone and iPad users to send the image displayed on the iOS device over to a big-screen TV in their living room, or in the classroom. Sound also gets transferred to the TV thanks to Apple’s AirPlay technology.
The Apple TV Software beta 2 downloads that are available on the iOS Dev Center include Apple TV Software beta (3rd generation Rev A), Apple TV Software beta (3rd generation), and Apple TV Software beta (2nd generation).
