No more set-top boxes available at 99 percent of Apple’s US stores, report says

A new report claims that all but two Apple U.S. stores are now completely out of Apple TV units to sell.

In other words, Apple is no longer supplying its stores with Apple TVs. Given the widespread rumors that the company is planning a refresh, we’d say this is the best indication of that.

According to MacRumors, the four US Apple stores that were still carrying the device on the first count were: San Francisco flagship (San Francisco, California); Higuera Street (San Luis Obispo, California); SoHo (New York, New York); and South Hills Village (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania).

A second count churned up only two stores with Apple TV stock: SoHo and South Hills Village.

Customers ordering a unit from a store that doesn’t list stock can pick up their Apple TV March 9 the earliest. Some stores, however, list availability until March 15.
