Twice the prevailing market price for a normal TV, says Piper Jaffray analyst

Analyst Gene Munster with Piper Jaffray is at it again with a reiterated note on Apple launching a full-fledged HD TV solution next year.

The Business Insider has his comments (made at the paper’s IGNITION: Future of Media conference yesterday morning) which include the following key aspects of the highly-anticipated product:

The device will be a full-fledged TV set that will come in a range of sizes priced at twice the prevailing market price for a normal TV.

Apple TVs will offer seamless integration with other devices in Apple’s ecosystem and services (that’s a no-brainer), and the device is expected to be “the first TV that thinks the way you do” (think Siri voice-control). There will be a cable subscription and cable box, says Munster.

Last, but not least, the research note signed Gene Munster says Apple will launch its TV product around the winter holidays in 2012, so we still have to wait another full year, if Munster’s analysis is accurate.
