Apple’s long-time hobby, the Apple TV, has received a new feature originating in iOS 5 - Photo Stream. Other goodies are also packed inside the fresh IPSW file.

Released to Apple TV owners just as iCloud and iOS 5 were made available, the new iOS 4.4 software update delivers support for Photo Stream, a feature that lets you view photos recently taken on your iOS device and pushed to your Photo Stream in iCloud.

AirPlay Mirroring is also included with the update. This feature facilitates wireless HDTV streaming of what's on your iPhone 4S or iPad 2 screen.

You can now watch live games, view highlights, scores and more thanks to the addition of National Hockey League. If you’re less into sports and more into news, there’s Wall Street Journal integration now. New Slideshow themes and Netflix subtitle support rounds up the list of new features.
