The long awaited product is finally available

Apple TV, one of the most awaited products ever designed by the company, was finally released today, allowing interested users to buy the product directly from the Apple website. If you didn't know, although I guess it's impossible, the Apple TV is a revolutionary device that helps you view movies, TV shows, listen music or view photos on a widescreen TV by connecting the device to your Mac or PC. The Apple device is equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11 wireless, an Apple Remote controller and a 40GB hard drive able to allow up to 50 hours videos as the company sustains.

The company sustained that Apple TV requires a Widescreen television with an HDMI, DVI or component video input, a network (wired or wireless), an Internet connect as well as a Mac computer or a PC equipped with Windows XP Home or Professional with Service Pack 2. The device also requires iTunes 7, available as a free download from Apple and Softpedia, an application that is regarded as one of the most powerful multimedia players available today.

The product is currently available to all users for $299.00, the whole package being shipped in 3-5 days including the main device, the Apple Remote, the power cord and the printed documentation.

Although the price may look a little low, some of the users might need more product such as connection cables also offered by Apple: XtremeMac XtremeHD HDMI to HDMI Cable for $19.95, XtremeMac XtremeHD Component Video Cable for $19.95 and a AirPort Extreme Base Station for $179.00.
