Apple Stores will have new displays to match their Apple TVs

Alongside the much-awaited Apple TV, looks like shiny, new Apple TV displays will hit the stands at the beginning of March. News from TUAW sources claim Apple stores will have new Apple TV displays to offer customers, beginning March 5th.

"The display will showcase the Apple TV hooked up to a very nice Sony Bravia (just like they did at Macworld), and will no doubt cause Apple TV lust to develop in the hearts of passers by", according to TUAW. If this rumor is true and Apple will offer Apple TV displays along with their Apple TV, then customers in Apple retail stores will surely benefit from live presentations and demonstrations from sales representatives.

The launch of Apple TV will be another Cupertino success, according to experts. It's said to have quite an impact on the home entertainment market. Deutsche Bank analyst Chris Whitmore thinks the Apple TV will gain about 20-30 percent of the CD and DVD market in a few years time. He estimates the company will sell 2 million units this year alone.

This is probably wishful thinking, I sincerely doubt numbers will rise this high, but the Apple TV will surely bring the Cupertino company lots of money. "Apple TV could make moving computer content around the house another mainstream digital activity", says Tim Bajarin at PC Magazine.

Although this is not the first attempt of bringing computer content to the living-room (there is Windows Media Center, launched in 2002), the editor thinks Apple will manage to make an impact with their Apple TV thanks to their iconic talent for user interfaces and design.

Looks like we'll see a lot of the Apple TV from now on, stay posted for more information on the device and its availability.
