AppleInsider seems to have gotten another inside scoop and has published a detailed report regarding Apple's presumed upcoming feature film movie service.

According to AppleInsider, a survey distributed through Coyote Insight, a Fullerton, California-based market research firm, asked the participants to answer questions related to a potential "iTunes movie service" which would provide access to movies on a on-demand basis, letting the user
download them to a computer or iPod.

"This iTunes service would provide access to 1,000 movies on demand which can be downloaded to your computer and, in turn, to your video iPod if you have one, or even your television if it is connected to your computer," read a description early in the survey according to AppleInsider.

This service would presumably be very similar to the current iTunes Music store, which already lets the user download TV shows and other short clips, with two major differences: "The first difference is you would need to have a high speed (broadband) Internet connection such as DSL or cable modem to use the service. The second difference is access to the movies is offered on a monthly subscription basis."

The service would offer one click download, and the movies could begin playing even as they are being downloaded. The service would offer access to thousands of movies, ranging from the latest releases to classic favorites, all of which could be watched as many times as you want, commercial free and with no charge per view. Each month, the service would presumably add new content to choose from.

The survey also tried to assess whether the participants preferred to rent or actually buy the content, and how important would the ability to burn a copy of the movie, which could then be viewed using a home DVD, would be to them.
