Apple has released a memo on its Developer site advising application sellers to manage their development assets via the new Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles section in Member Center.

Providing a unified view via an intuitive interface, the new Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles section helps developers manage all their certificates, identifiers, devices, and provisioning profiles.

This helps when a programmer wants to test and distribute apps before submitting a final binary to Apple. The Cupertino giant tells devs to go through the App Distribution Guide, which explains “how to develop, test, submit, and release your iOS and Mac apps.”

“By understanding your tools and the distribution process, you’ll be able to get your new app and updates to your customers faster,” Apple says.

The App Distribution guide can be found here. It describes the basic steps for getting an iOS / Mac app released, including enrolling people in a testing program, creating an iTunes record, and application submission.
