The Sagemore (NJ) Apple retail store has become quite attractive for burglars, for it has been vandalized the second time in just four months by thieves breaking their way in and running away with dozens of thousands of dollars' worth of goods.

ifoAppleStore, the source dealing exclusively with news and information on Apple’s retail stores, reports that, “For the second time in four months, burglars broke the front window at the Sagemore (NJ) retail store to steal products, but this time confronted a security guard inside the store and threatened that they had a gun.”

According to the report citing the New Jersey police, there were five men who broke an entry into the store around 2 a.m “using a large rock to break the window. Because of the earlier burglary, an unarmed security guard was on-duty inside the store. However, the guard didn’t intervene when one of the men motioned that he had a gun. The men took 23 laptops, 14 iPhones and iPod touches, then fled into a nearby residential area.” ifoAppleStore reminds us that a similar burglary took place in March, when thieves fled with eight laptops and just as many iPhones.

Exclusive footage from the Sagemore (NJ) Apple retail store on the night of the burglary is also available, courtesy of ABC News. In the video, the five men can be seen as they break their way inside the store’s premises and, in just over half a minute, leave the desks clean, running away with most of the hardware available on display.

A 9to5Mac report appropriately points out that, apparently, the Apple Store in question did not use Kensington locks on the products, while most other stores do. Undoubtedly, the burglars had visited the store before (perhaps several times) to check for security measures. Come to think of it, it’s really not that surprising the theft went down in half a minute.
