No more discounts / gift cards available for Apple shoppers

Apple today took down its Black Friday deals, despite a growing worldwide trend of stretching the sales event over the weekend.

As far as Black Friday is concerned, the Cupertino giant has been reluctant to play ball since forever, offering only minute savings on its expensive products and, sometimes, no savings at all.

This year was no different, as Apple updated its US store with Gift Card promotions, instead of the usual discounts that one could find everywhere else on the planet.

For one reason or another, Apple chose only Europe to offer discounted iPads, iPods and Macs, but the price cuts have been minor. For example, customers could save around $40 / €40 on iPads, and $100 / €100 on a MacBook Pro.

The Apple online store is now filled with holiday cheer, encouraging visitors to acquire iDevices to put under the tree next month.
