Apple Store Opening within Liverpool One. Staff Needed

- S’porter store also opening in the retail/leisure development

By: Filip Truta, Apple News Editor

Another Apple store is opening and the Cupertino-based company is hiring staff. LDP Business reveals that the new store will be located somewhere within the Liverpool One development, with George Davies also opening a S’porter store in the vicinity.

Land owner Grosvenor "has kept the news under wraps for months,"
according to the publication, confirming only recently that "one of the most sought-after retail brands in the world the has agreed to launch a new store in the city," the website notes.

"The Apple Store offers a unique opportunity to share your passion for Apple products with customers and Mac enthusiasts alike. If you’re looking for a rewarding environment in which to build your career using your special skills and talents, and if working at Apple has always been your dream job, you might just be one of the passionate individuals we’re looking for," reads Apple's recruitment page.

As any retail store would do, Apple is looking for a Store Manager, an Assistant Store Manager, creative folks, Mac geniuses, a Concierge (the guy who assists, gives tours etc), Mac Specialists, Personal Shopping Specialists, Business Consultants, Inventory Control Specialists and of course Cashiers, who keep everything cool at the cash register, "providing the highest level of service to each customer—every transaction, every time," according to the Cupertino-based company.

Don't think that the-highest-level thing is all bogus. With Apple, everything they say about recruitment, they mean it. It is considered that a position within an Apple retail store is one of the toughest jobs in retail to acquire, with the success rate for applicants rising just above 5%, according to the aforementioned source.

As noted above, in addition to the Apple store opening in the Liverpool One retail/leisure development, George Davies is opening a S’porter store close by, to sell Liverpool FC kits and other clothing and accessories.
