Apple has announced it would be opening yet another Retail Store in the States, in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The Grand Opening will be held this Saturday (tomorrow), August 16th at 10 am. As usual, the first 1,000 people to visit the Apple Store will nab a free Apple Store limited edition T-shirt.

Apple is featuring events throughout the week, to celebrate the Grand Opening, with a variety of unique and educational presentations, demonstrations and workshops. All the events are free of charge and allow visitors to learn about the latest products from Apple, including the new iPhone 3G. As most Apple fans should already know, the new iPhone model combines all the revolutionary features of the original device, adding 3G networking, built-in GPS (for expanded location-based mobile services), and the iPhone 2.0 software, which boasts support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync. iPhone software 2.0 also includes the App Store, a new service for both iPhone and iPhone 3G users, as well as for iPod touch users, which enables them to download and run thousands of third party applications, many of which are absolutely free.

There will also be hands-on sessions at the Altamonte Apple Retail Store. This experience gives you a chance to test-drive Apple's elusive MacBook Air, the thinnest laptop currently available on the market, or the iPod touch, touted as "the best Wi-Fi mobile device in the world".

Just like every other Apple Retail Store, the Altamonte Springs one also offers personal training sessions through Apple's One to One program. This is paid, but it does provide in-depth sessions on a wide range of topics, ranging from getting started with a Mac or iPod to advanced moviemaking and digital photography. Among the remaining free services to be mentioned are face-to-face support and creative help at the Genius Bar, as well as workshops and special programs for children.
