14 DAY TRIAL // Last week, we reported that Apple's new retail store at the Liverpool One development was set for its Grand Opening this weekend, Saturday, July 26. According to those who attended, the opening went smoothly. No word on who won the Digital Lifestyle Collection, though.
Apple was announcing earlier this spring that a new retail store would be opening its doors somewhere within the Liverpool One development, with George Davies also opening an S'porter store in the vicinity. Apple was also hiring staff for the upcoming establishment, at the time. MacDailyNews is now reporting, based on a slew of photos taken by reader Elliot Norton, that the Liverpool One Apple Store Grand Opening went great, with hundreds (if not more) people attending the event.
In the meantime, Apple took great care in setting up workshops and events for those who plan on visiting the store in the near future. For example, on Tuesday, July 29 (today) between 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, Apple Store, Liverpool One is featuring an iPod and iTunes Workshop. You can reserve a session to "explore iTunes for Mac and Windows and learn why it is the best digital jukebox on the planet. You'll learn to import and organize your music, burn" and more.
From 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, also today, Apple fans can choose to attend a GarageBand Workshop. "GarageBand puts an entire recording studio right on your Mac, and we'll show you just how to use it. Learn how to compose a song with loops, beats" etc., according to Apple. Wednesday (tomorrow) will feature a Mac OS X Leopard Workshop and iWork Workshop: Numbers, while Thursday visitors will be able to book an iWork or iLife Workshop.
