Apple has finally lifted the cloth off its all-new Mac Pro workstation, opening up sales via its online store starting at $2,999 / €2,999 for the Quad-Core configuration, and at $3,999 / €3,999 for the 6-Core model.

Minutes ago, Apple took its web store back online featuring a notable new addition to its virtual shelves: the completely redesigned and massively upgraded Mac Pro (Late 2013) model in two standard configurations, with build-to order options for bigger pockets.

The system starts at $2,999 / €2,999 for the base configuration featuring a 3.7GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon E5 processor, 12GB ECC memory (1866MHz DDR3), Dual AMD FirePro D300 graphics (with 2GB GDDR5 VRAM each), and 256GB PCIe-based flash storage.

A 6-Core 3.5GHz configuration will set you back $3,999 / €3,999. This version comes with even more RAM (16GB), Dual AMD FirePro D500 with 3GB GDDR5 VRAM each, and the same amount of storage as the base model.

“Designed around an innovative unified thermal core, the all-new Mac Pro packs unprecedented performance into an aluminum enclosure that is just 9.9-inches tall and one-eighth the volume of the previous generation,” Apple said in its December 18 press release announcing the imminent launch of its new workstations.

“Mac Pro features 4-core, 6-core, 8-core or 12-core Intel Xeon processors running at Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.9 GHz and two workstation-class AMD FirePro GPUs that deliver up to eight times the graphics performance of the previous generation Mac Pro,” the Cupertino company added.

The Mac Pro also comes with six Thunderbolt 2 ports and supports up to 36 peripherals, including the 4K displays. Interested parties can visit the Apple Online store right now to order their preferred model for shipping “by December 30,” according to Apple.
