Nothing to be alarmed of – just the standard procedure ahead of any Apple event

The Apple online store is down, this time in light of several new product announcements about to be made at the Worldwide Developers Conference 2012 in a few hours from now.

While Apple store outages often end up with nothing more than a redesigned iPhone carrier selector, or some new layout to make the purchase process more streamlined, this time around we’re in for quite a few newbies, including new Macintosh configurations, updated AirPort WiFi base stations, and possibly even new MagSafe adapters, according to the latest leaks.

Nothing is confirmed, of course, but the rumors have been more than consistent with one another.

As far as non-hardware announcements are concerned, Apple is reportedly showcasing iOS 6 today with its brand new 3D maps application, as well as OS X Mountain Lion. There’s also word that Apple is introducing an Apple TV SDK, new iStore apps, and more.

To be frank, I liked the yellow sticky sign better. How about you?
