The Apple Specialist Marketing Co-op, in short the ASMC, has confirmed Apple Specialist Snow Leopard launch sales events at multiple, independent Apple specialist resellers across the US and Canada. In-store specials are to be had, as well as Mac OS X 10.6 demonstrations. The ASMC has also announced an initiative to help save the endangered wild snow leopard.

“Snow Leopard offers a lot of bang for the buck and we’re very excited,” Kevin Langdon, ASMC executive director and owner of Crywolf Computers in San Diego, CA, said. “We’ve been waiting for this for a long time. Each dealer has created their own unique specials to suit their customers and communities,” Langdon added. “This is truly an unprecedented effort by the Apple Specialists to offer their loyal customers something extra during these tough times.”

“Apple Specialists provide the complete, one-stop solution for all their clients’ Macintosh product and service needs,” Langdon shared. “Apple Specialists don’t just sell boxes – we consult with our clients and design custom computing solutions to fit their specific requirements. And this weekend we are the best place to find and learn about Snow Leopard in North America, too.”

Those interested in attending the events can find a full list of participating locations at this address.

The ASMC has also announced partnering with the Snow Leopard Trust to raise funds and help save the wild animal going by the same name (except for the term “trust,” that is).

Customers can “adopt” a snow leopard cub at a specially reduced price or make donations to the Snow Leopard Trust through their local Apple Specialist, beginning with August 18 at participating Apple Specialist Snow Leopard Launch Events. All donations from new donors will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Geyer Trust during this promotion, according to the ASMC.
