There’s no shortage of talent at Apple Inc., but there’s also no stopping the company’s urge to get even more know-how on board.

The latest evidence to back this theory comes from Apple’s recent hiring of Paul Deneve, the former chief executive officer of luxury fashion house Yves St Laurent Group.

Confirmed by both parties, the hiring will put Deneve in charge of a “Special Projects” division within Apple Inc. He will be reporting to Tim Cook, according to Bloomberg.

Deneve is not at his first stint with the Cupertino company. Between 1990 and 1997 he held sales and marketing positions within Apple Europe.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Paul Deneve to Apple,” the iPhone maker said in a statement yesterday. “He’ll be working on special projects as a vice president reporting directly to Tim Cook.”

In related news, Apple also recently hired Hulu LLC executive Pete Distad, who will help with negotiations to put more content on the Apple TV.
