People looking to own an Apple TV or a MacBook computer with no money to spare are encouraged to check out Apple’s latest Special Deals. Pre-owned, yet refurbished Apple TVs start at just $149, while Apple’s most popular Mac – the 13-inch MacBook – can be owned for just $849. Read on for the full details and specs.

For $149, Apple is offering a refurbished Apple TV with a 40GB drive. The Mac maker markets the device saying, “Apple TV turns your living room into an on-demand movie theater. After a free software update, with a few clicks of the remote, you can rent HD movies from the same place you watch them — your widescreen TV.” A 160GB model is available for just $40 more – $189, being capable of storing 200 hours of video, according to the Cupertino-based electronics maker.

Moving on to what Apple does best – computers – a refurbished MacBook 2.13GHz Intel Core 2 Duo – White is now available from Apple’s online store for just $849. This is not the original polycarbonate MacBook, but the NVIDIA-equipped model with a 13.3-inch, glossy widescreen display, 2GB of memory, a 160GB hard drive and GeForce 9400M graphics. And let’s not forget the built-in iSight camera. Sure enough, even at $849, a notebook can hardly be labeled as affordable, but, since it has an Apple logo on it, we’ll let this one slip.

Or perhaps some will be enticed by the $899 price tag for an aluminum refurbished MacBook 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. To be noted that Apple’s unibody, aluminum-encased version of the 13-inch MacBook is still $100 cheaper than the factory-sealed plastic model, which still sells for $999.

Lastly, as some may recall, there’s also a Pro version of the unibody, 13-inch MacBook announced at Macworld 2009. Discretely introduced by Apple at its next major event (WWDC '09), the 13-inch MacBook Pro 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo can now be acquired as a refurbished product for just $999 ($200 cheaper than a brand-new model – $1,199). Specs include: 13.3-inch, LED-backlit, glossy widescreen display; 2GB of memory; 160GB hard drive; 8x SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW); SD card slot; built-in, seven-hour battery; NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics; illuminated keyboard.
