As the first week of April is drawing to a close, we have the usual rundown of Apple updates/downloads ready for you to sift through and see if you’ve missed anything while you were away from the computer.

On April 1, Apple rolled out major updates for iWork users on OS X and iOS adding a great deal of tweaks and improvements, as well as a new feature that enables customers to share documents as “view-only” files. The feature is somewhat crippled, as “view-only” documents can still be downloaded, opened and modified in external applications.

On the same day Mac users were offered Safari 7.0.3 for OS X Mavericks and Safari 6.1.3 for OS X Mountain Lion. Both updates addressed an issue with the search and address fields loading webpages before Enter is pressed and an issue with push notifications.

The new versions also add a preference to turn off push notification prompts from websites, support for webpages with generic top-level domains, improve credit card auto-fill with websites, and strengthen Safari sandboxing. A number of security bugs are also addressed.

On April 3, a new version of iPhoto was released with small improvements and code corrections. iPhoto 2.0.1 adds a white border to photos when ordering prints, and includes general bug fixes and other improvements that aren’t detailed in the release notes. The update is free for all existing users. iPhoto for iOS continues to sell for $4.99/€4.49.

In tandem with the iPhoto update for mobile users, the Cupertino company also deployed a couple of minor Xerox Printer Driver updates for Mac users, adding support for the latest Xerox printer/scanner models. Two separate installers were released, one exclusively for OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) users, and one for OS X 10.7 (Lion), OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion), and OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) customers.

Later that day, OS X Mavericks 10.9.3 Build 13D33 was offered for download to developers. Available exclusively to registrants of the Apple Developer Program, Build 13D33 is the latest OS X 10.9.3 beta and asks testers to focus on areas like Graphics Drivers, Audio, Mail, Safari, and Contacts & Calendar sync over USB in iTunes.

On April 4, a Golden Master seed of Xcode 5.1.1 was deployed. Also available exclusively to registered developers, the build (set to reach Final status shortly) includes a wide range of fixes and tweaks, as detailed in our coverage from earlier today. Xcode 5.1.1 has no definitive launch date set, but will soon make its way into the Mac App Store for everyone to download.
