A "Refurbished Mac Pro 2.4GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon" configuration is now available on Apple’s United States web store for $2,649, which translates into an $850 discount for the buyer, according to the Cupertino giant.

The Mac Pro may have lost its swag in recent years, but that’s not to say the workstations aren’t attractive anymore.

Far from it actually, and with an $850 discount now available on Apple’s Special Deals section, some might consider buying sooner, rather than later.

There’s still a wide selection of Mac Pro refurbs available on Apple’s online store, but this one in particular caught our eye.

This Mac Pro was originally released in August 2010 packing two 2.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon "Westmere" processors, 6GB (6 x 1GB) of 1066MHz DDR3 ECC memory, a 1TB Serial ATA hard drive spinning at 7200 rpm, an 18x SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW), and ATI Radeon HD 5770 graphics with 1GB GDDR5 memory.

Even by today’s standards this is one powerful piece of computing machinery.
