Productivity apps offered at limited-time prices

Likely as the result of a deal between Apple and high-profile developers, the iOS and Mac App Stores are offering dozens of AAA apps at a discount. A new section dubbed Get Productive has been launched on each individual app store, featuring top-tier productivity apps.

New sections like this one have become a tradition at Apple, whose app stores now hold more than 1.5 million apps, most of which are for the company’s mobile platforms – the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Let’s start with these ones.

Productivity on the go

Workaholics, listen up! If you can’t seem to be able to put away that iPhone/iPad even on your launch break, there are dozens of titles in the iOS App Store right now that promise to let you do your office work accurately, blazingly fast, and now cost-efficient too.

The prices for the majority of the apps listed by Apple (in the above screenshot) are cut by well over 50%. For instance, Fantastical 2 currently sells for $1.99/€1.99 but normally costs $4.99/€4.99. Clear – Tasks, Reminders & To-Do lists shares the same pricing scheme. Access this here link to go to the Get Productive section on the iTunes App Store.

Whether you work from home or at the office (or both, like half the world does every day), the new Get Productive section is also found on the Mac App Store. There, you can get top headliners in the office business such as Day One, Clear, Blogo, Notability, iTranslate, FlowVella, and many others.

Apple rarely (read never) discounts its own software as part of limited-time offers, so don’t be surprised if you can’t find the iWork suite anywhere in that section. Sadly, we don’t have a link for that area on the Mac App Store, but it’ll show up in the carousel when you launch the client on your Mac.
