Apple is selling second-generation iPads at considerable discounts via its Special Deals section in the U.S., a site usually reserved for sales of refurbished products, including tablet computers.
An iPad 2 with cellular wireless capabilities and the maximum amount of storage that you can order (64GB) can be yours today for $479 (€366), which Apple calculates as a $150 discount, or 23% off the tablet’s asking price. The device is non-Retina but it does boast a 9.7-inch display.
The price may seem high at first glance, but this iPad configuration used to retail for $829 in 2011, when iPad 2 was the latest tablet churned up by the Cupertino giant.
So if you’re out for a 3G-capable iPad with insane storage capacities for movie watching and hundreds of apps, this might be just what you were looking for.
