Most of the photos are taken with the built-in Camera app

The Apple website has been refreshed earlier today highlighting a new section called “Shot on iPhone 6,” where the company showcases some of its favorite photos and videos taken with its iPhone 6 smartphone device in different locations in the world. You can view the Apple iPhone 6 World Gallery here!

We really don’t want to make a big deal out of this, but as some of us here at Softpedia are passionate photographers, we just want to mention the fact that the photos are quite good, especially if you view them on a smartphone or tablet. You can't compare them with those taken with a DSLR, but for a phone they are really nice.

As stated under each photo, they have been edited with some photo editing app, such as Instagram, Snapseed, Filterstorm Neue or VSCO Cam, or some sort of gadget was been used to capture them. We believe that a good photo stands alone without any filter. Of course, you can take the same shots with other phones boasting a good camera.

Apple Watch and iOS 8.2 will arrive in March

In some other iPhone 6 news, we would like to remind you all that, if rumors prove to be true, we should see the iOS 8.2 update sometime next week, most probably tomorrow, March 2. This is a major update to the iOS mobile operating system and it promises to bring a number of performance improvements, as well as support for the upcoming Apple Watch.

With this occasion, we would also like to remind everyone that Apple will hold an event next Monday, March 9, 2015, about its Apple Watch device. The "Spring Forward" event will take place at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, USA, and will start at 11 AM PDT (Pacific Daylight Time).

Unfortunately, we won’t be able to attend the said event, but we promise to keep you guys informed on this space about what will happen there, especially about the new products Apple will announce next week, as well as all the details you need to know about Apple Watch, such as features, pricing, and general availability.
