It’s not a Black Friday deal, but one that you can pick up on as soon as you’re done reading this blog post. Apple is slashing as much as $350 off a MacBook Air manufactured in 2009, packing a powerful processor and graphics, and decent SSD storage too.

Originally released mid 2009, this Refurbished MacBook Air 2.13GHz Intel Core 2 Duo is currently being sold for $949, a 26% discount from the original retail price which translates into a $350 saving, according to the Cupertino, California based computer giant.

Key specs touted by Apple include the 13.3-inch glossy widescreen display, 2GB of RAM, 128GB solid-state drive, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics, and the built-in iSight Camera.

This version of the MacBook Air doesn’t come with the latest Sandy Bridge CPU, nor does it boast Thunderbolt connectivity, but it’s still blazing fast compared to similar solutions advertised as ultra-thin notebooks, and it’s still a looker too.

The computer also isn’t eligible for Apple’s OS X Lion Up-To-Date Program, which means you’ll be downloading the latest version of Apple’s OS through the Mac App Store for $29.99.

Other attractive offers can be found on Apple’s Special Deals section as well.

For instance, you can save $300 on a newer MacBook Air with an even prettier design, better graphics, OS X Lion pre-installed and a backlit keyboard, to name just some of the few key features. The Refurbished MacBook Air 1.86 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo sells for $899. This model was released in October 2010.

Those looking for a cheap desktop solution who already have a keyboard, mouse and monitor waiting at home, can go for the Refurbished Mac mini 2.3GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 which sells for $519 and comes with 2GB memory, a 500GB hard drive, an HDMI port with support for up to 1920-by-1200 resolution and Intel HD Graphics 3000.

This low-end system was launched earlier this year and packs all the latest innovations, including a Thunderbolt port with support for up to 2560-by-1600 resolution.

its way way sooooo expensie for the build quality and specs of an instrument made from surplus and discarded pc part; maybe if apple would just sell their high end mac for two hundred dollars, they might just sell a few. not this time that none.
