A job listing at Apple.com reveals that Cupertino is seeking an HW test engineer with experience in embedded systems. This person must also have knowledge of various technologies including RFID, the job description reveals.

The listing was reportedly changed this past weekend with an update to the RFID reference in the job listing which has now replaced with RF.

Radio-frequency identification or RFID is a technology that uses communication via radio waves to exchange data between a reader and an electronic tag attached to an object, for the purpose of identification and tracking.

[admark=1]Apple is rumored to be adopting the technology in its iOS portables, alongside NFC (Near Field Communications) for the purpose of turning these devices into regular iWallets.

The respective job description can be found below. Those interested in applying for the job can visit Apple here.
