The developer portal known as iTunes Connect will shut down for maintenance for a few hours this Saturday, according to a memo from Cupertino, California.

iTunes Connect is a developer tool which enables application sellers on iOS and OS X to distribute content on iTunes, the App Store, the iBookstore, and the Mac App Store.

Apple has sent an email notice to those enrolled with the company’s annual developer programs stating that, “iTunes Connect will undergo scheduled maintenance for approximately four hours starting at 8 p.m. (PT) on Saturday, January 26.”

Apple says that any action will not take any effect during this timeframe, whether you want to update your app’s description, submit a new binary, release screenshots, etc.

“During this time, content delivery and iTunes Connect will not be available,” the memo reads. The message is signed, The iTunes Store team.
