14 DAY TRIAL // Apple has released an official Support document acknowledging the reported “Do Not Disturb” bug in iOS 6. The company says all iPhones will resume normal functionality after January 7.
After widespread reports regarding a scheduling issue with the Do Not Disturb feature in iOS 6, Apple has released official documentation confirming that the bug exists.
“After January 1st, 2013, Do Not Disturb mode stays on past its scheduled end time,” Apple says.
The Cupertino mammoth doesn’t yet offer a fix, as the flaw can only be patched via software update. However, Apple does reveal that “Do Not Disturb scheduling feature will resume normal functionality after January 7, 2013.”
The company’s advice is to manually turn the Do Not Disturb feature on or off before this date.
iPhone users looking to turn off the scheduling feature must tap Settings > Notifications > Do Not Disturb and set Scheduled to Off.
