MobileMe users having trouble with services like Mail and Calendar are being notified that Apple has fixed the issues. The company apologizes to customers for any inconvenience this hang may have caused them.

As users began reporting trouble accessing their Mail accounts through the cloud-based service, Apple issued a quick update on the MobileMe status page, saying, “Some MobileMe members may be unable to access MobileMe Mail. Normal service will be restored ASAP. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

As MacRumors points out, Apple charges $99 a year but doesn’t offer a service-level agreement with MobileMe, whose terms of service say the product is provided "as is" and on an "as available" basis.

Apple also does not provide any warranty that the "service will be timely, uninterrupted, secure or error-free."

And while many users have undoubtedly been angered by the down time, Apple now appears to have resolved the Mail issue. The company’s MobileMe status page now says:

MobileMe Mail - 05/16/2011 08:20-13:30 PDT Some MobileMe members were unable to access MobileMe Mail. Normal service has been restored. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Customers might also have had trouble trying to sync their calendars. This is because of ‘scheduled maintenance,’ according to another update:

MobileMe Calendar Maintenance - 05/16/2011 17:00-17:30 PDT Due to scheduled maintenance, some MobileMe members may have been unable to sync changes made to their calendars from one computer or device to another. Normal service has been restored. We apologize for any inconvenience. A suite of Internet services provided by Apple to both Mac and Windows PC users, MobileMe is on track to get a major refresh, according to multiple sources in a position to know.

Earlier this month, reports emerged saying Apple had secured the iCloud domain with plans to put MobileMe customers through another transition three years after moving all their accounts from .Mac to the new service.
