Apple has issued an official announcement confirming that its next store, located in the Grand Central, Manhattan, will open Friday, December 9, at 10 a.m. The store offers rooms dedicated to some of the Mac maker’s most popular services.

While the leaked pictures are exciting and all, there’s nothing like getting confirmation from Apple themselves about the innards of the store.

For example, the company reveals that the new venue overlooks the historic Main Concourse from the East and North East balconies of the world-famous Grand Central Terminal, and has not one, but two Genius Bars.

The company’s press release brags about various services that are typical to most Apple retail stores in America, including Personal Pickup, the various services via the Apple Store App, like paying for accessories with your iPhone, and more.

There will be new 15-minute Express Workshops that offer “tips and tricks in a streamlined format to serve customers on a tight schedule.”

“The store’s expert team has 315 passionate employees who deliver these and other amazing services, which have become the hallmark of Apple retail stores worldwide,” Apple adds.

Interestingly, the company’s official report doesn’t includes any official word from a company executive. This may have something to do with the recent departure of Apple’s SVP of Retail, Ron Johnson, who is now handling things at JC Penney.

Apple also notes that Manhattan customers now have five landmark stores to choose from. The company’s most iconic one is located at Fifth Ave. - the ‘glass cube’ store.

“Holiday shoppers in Manhattan now have five unique Apple stores to choose from, each perfectly suited to the neighborhoods they serve: Fifth Avenue, Upper West Side, SoHo, West 14th Street and Grand Central,” Apple states.

“Around the world, nearly 300 million people have visited Apple retail stores in the past 12 months. There are 361 Apple stores in eleven countries including the US, UK, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Japan, China, Australia and Canada,” the company adds.

Starting Friday, the Grand Central store will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m, Apple said.
