Apple has released a new version of Motion, the company’s easy-to-use toolset for motion graphics aimed at creating eye-catching titles, transitions, and effects. The video editing tool is available as a standalone download from the Mac App Store.

On the Support section of its website, Apple says, “Motion 5.0.7 is an update to Motion 5. This update is recommended for all users of Motion 5.”

The new release patches a few bugs reported by the community of video professionals who use Apple software to make movies.

Motion 5.0.7 resolves an issue where some third-party effects generated green frames during render, and addresses performance problems that could arise when using certain titles and effects.

A stability issue involving split layers in the timeline has been patched, along with a problem while launching a plug-in. The update also fixes a stability issue with CoreMelt plug-ins.
