Following reports that the third-generation iPad overheats, Apple has provided a blog an official statement, saying the tablets are operating at normal parameters.

The Loop’s Jim Dalrymple managed to get the following response from Apple representative Trudy Muller after widespread reports on the alleged overheating of the new iPad:

“The new iPad delivers a stunning Retina display, A5X chip, support for 4G LTE plus 10 hours of battery life, all while operating well within our thermal specifications.” Muller added that, “If customers have any concerns they should contact AppleCare.”

There you go people. Nothing to worry about. Of course, if your iPad is burning hot, then common sense should tell you to take it in to have an Apple Genius look at it.
