The second beta flavor of the upcoming iOS 7 mobile platform is now available for download for developers, expanding the original device support for the iPad and iPad mini as well.

Apple pushed out the new platform release with various bug fixes and improvements packed inside, though only for devices meant for the beta software development.

The new iOS 7 beta 2 release arrives on devices featuring build number 11A4400f, up from the previously available 11a4372q.

Originally unveiled at WWDC 2013, iOS7 was seeded to developers a few weeks ago only with support for Apple’s iPhone and iPod touch devices.

Apple did say at the time that support for iPad and iPad mini was planned for a later date, and the second beta version of the operating system arrived on these devices as well.

Just as the Cupertino-based company announced, iOS 7 should be compatible with iPad mini, iPad 2, and third- and fourth-generation iPads with Retina displays.

When it comes to the changes included inside the new iOS 7 beta 2, macrumors notes that both smartphone and tablet users will find that the Voice Memos app has returned, in line with the previous rumors on the matter.

Furthermore, the platform upgrade brings along the English versions of the male and female Siri voices that Apple showcased at WWDC.

Compared to the beta 1 release, the new platform version sports various performance enhancements for Siri, which is now much faster than before.

Those who would like to download iOS 7 beta 2 should head over to Apple’s developer portal for that. They will need a paid registered Apple developer account to receive access to the platform.

Those who already have such an account should be able to download the platform for their iPhone / iPad / iPod touch devices via the download links below:
