Apple Remote Desktop, the tool used by administrators to manage the Mac computers on a network, distribute software, provide real-time online help, and more, has been updated to version 3.5.3.

Apple informs all Apple Remote Desktop clients that this new version plugs holes related to the overall reliability, usability and compatibility of the program. A technical document on support.apple.com reveals that Apple Remote Desktop client 3.5.3 is included in OS X Lion 10.7.4 and that Snow Leopard users can access it as a standalone download.

“This update provides general OS compatibilty [sic] fixes,” reads the literature.

“The OS X Lion v10.7.4 and Apple Remote Desktop client 3.5.3 updates are available via automatic Software Update and a manual download from Apple Support Downloads,” Apple adds.
