Apple Releases Remote 3.0

The dedicated iOS Remote app for iPhones and iPads is getting new functionality in version 3.0. A new feature in iTunes 11, “Up Next,” is now supported by the application.

Apple says “Remote is simpler and easier with new ways to browse your library and see and edit upcoming songs with Up Next.”

In iTunes 11, users just click the Up Next icon in the center display and the upcoming songs will instantly appear. Users can reorder, add, or skip songs whenever they wish.

On the iPad, Remote 3.0 offers “a redesigned experience” by displaying all the songs in an album with the Expanded view, as well as with a more powerful search that guesses your query.

Remote 3.0 is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad and requires iOS 5.0 or later. The app is optimized for iPhone 5.
