Apple’s Podcasts application has been promoted to version 1.1.2 in the iTunes App Store. The Cupertino, California-based computer company says Podcasts 1.1.2 includes “a number of improvements.”

Users of the application will notice that version 1.1.2 lets them tap a podcast in Top Stations to reveal episodes they can play. Customers will also be able to turn on automatic downloads for all subscribed podcasts in the iOS Settings.

An issue where previously played or deleted episodes unexpectedly reappear as new has been addressed in this release. The update also fixes an issue where Podcasts may unexpectedly play after a phone call or when an alarm goes off.

Podcasts is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad and requires iOS 5.1 or later. The app is optimized for iPhone 5.

Lastly, the new build includes “additional stability and performance improvements,” according to Apple.
