14 DAY TRIAL // Apple has updated the MobileMe Control Panel for Windows users, adding proxy server support and push notifications for the MobileMe Calendar beta. The update is available for free download either from Apple’s Support Downloads section, via the Mac OS X built-in Software Update mechanism, or from Softpedia.
MobileMe is an Apple-developed online service with the purpose of syncing a user’s email, contacts, and calendars over the across a range of devices, including mobile phones.

About MobileMe Control Panel for Windows
MobileMe Control Panel is required to manage iDisk settings and for syncing of contacts, calendars, and bookmarks on a Windows PC.
This update adds proxy server support and push notifications for the MobileMe Calendar beta (Microsoft Outlook 2007 or 2010 are also required).
MobileMe is the online service from Apple that automatically syncs your email, contacts, and calendars over the air across all your devices. It also helps you find your lost iPhone or iPad.
As noted by Apple, MobileMe has built-in security features that help users find their lost iPhone or iPad. The feature is also available as an iOS application called Find My iPhone.
Coincidentally, Find My iPhone has just been updated as well. Find My iPhone 1.0.1 adds support for the new iPod touch, and includes translation fixes for French, German, and Japanese languages.
Various bug fixes are also scattered around the new version.
Available exclusively to MobileMe customers, the Find My iPhone iOS app can locate your iPhone or iPad on a map, display a message and optionally play a sound for two minutes at full volume, remotely set a passcode lock on your device, and even remotely wipe it.
Find My iPhone requires iOS 3.1.3 as the minimum firmware version.
