Following WWDC 2012, Apple released several software updates for MacBook Pro owners, including one that applies to the all-new Retina-enabled MacBook Pro.

MacBook Pro (Mid 2012) Software Update 1.0 is recommended for MacBook Pro (mid 2012) models and includes fixes that improve graphics stability, external display support, and USB 3.0 device support, Apple says.

A MacBook Pro (Retina) Trackpad Update 1.0 addresses an issue where the trackpad may not respond consistently to user input. Apple says this is a recommended update for all Retina MacBook Pro notebooks.

A support document posted yesterday by Apple outlines the recommended software updates for all MacBook Pro models shipped this summer. The company suggests that some systems may ship with OS X version 10.7.3 installed, whereas the latest Lion version is 10.7.4.
