Users of the all-new GarageBand 10 for OS X have a fresh new update to install. Don’t get excited about new features, because there aren’t any. But if you’re looking for more stability, this update is for you.

According to the release notes for GarageBand 10.0.1, “This update improves stability and addresses a number of minor issues.” So, in case you feel GarageBand hasn’t been on its best behavior lately, just download and install this build.

Following Apple’s October 22 special event, GarageBand is now being offered for free and includes a redesigned interface, a virtual session Drummer that takes directions and plays realistic beats, an all-new sound library, additional amps and stompboxes, and the ability to create a song with up to 255 tracks.

The software works with Logic Remote for iPad, a sidekick app that lets you employ an iPad to wirelessly play any GarageBand instrument on your Mac, access Smart Controls (saving screen real estate on the desktop), and navigate your song and browse the Sound Library.
