The new Logic Remote app, which extends the functionality of Logic Pro X to your iPad’s screen, has received its first software update since inception.

Released this summer alongside Logic Pro X, Logic Remote is a companion app which offers more ways to record, mix, and even play instruments. You can also use it to navigate Logic projects, tap out beats on a drum kit/pad, and much more.

Version 1.0.1 improves stability and performance according to Apple, and provides more reliable connectivity on busy Wi-Fi networks. Velocity sensitivity is also improved, and the same goes for dynamic range for Touch Instruments.

The new version prevents hung notes from continuing to play when you press the Home button. Apple says, “This release is recommended for all Logic Remote customers.”

Logic Remote works only with iPads and requires iOS 6.0 or later. First-generation iPads are not supported.
