On its Support site, Apple is announcing the release of Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 5.03, a new update for Mac users looking to add RAW image compatibility for a new Canon camera.

Weighing in at 7.2 MB, Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 5.03 adds RAW image compatibility for Canon EOS M2 to Aperture 3 and iPhoto '11.

The update also addresses an issue that affected lens correction with Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 images and a color cast issue affecting owners of Olympus OM-D E-M1 devices.

As usual, Apple offers more information on supported RAW formats via KB article HT5955.

Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 5.03 requires OS X 10.8.5 with iPhoto 9.4.3 or Aperture 9.4.5, or OS X 10.9 with iPhoto 9.4.3 or Aperture 9.4.5. The update is free and the installer is localized in dozens of different languages.
