OS X Lion / Mountain Lion users get RAW imaging support for new cameras

Photography fans using Macs and the latest cameras on the market should be glad to learn that Apple has pushed out a software update that adds full support for the RAW images spit out by their state-of-the-art device.

Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 4.06 is a 6.4 MB package containing software that adds RAW image compatibility to Aperture 3 and iPhoto '11 for over half a dozen cameras.

These include Canon EOS-1D C, Canon EOS Rebel SL1 / 100D / Kiss X7, Canon EOS Rebel T5i / 700D / Kiss X7i, Hasselblad Lunar, Nikon COOLPIX A, Nikon D7100, Nikon 1 J3, Nikon 1 S1, and Sony Alpha NEX-3N.

The update goes onto OS X 10.8.2 or later and OS X 10.7.5 or later, and the installer supports Deutsch, English, Français, Chinese, Español, Italiano, and Nederlands.
