One of the remaining Apple software updates not yet discussed here on Softpedia is the Boot Camp Drivers Update 2.2 for Windows, which, according to the Cupertino-based Mac maker, addresses trackpad issues, and includes support for the Apple Magic mouse and wireless keyboard.

“If you have an Intel-based Mac and there’s a PC application you need to use, you can run it using Boot Camp,” Apple explains, talking about the contents of Boot Camp Drivers Update 2.2 for Windows. “You'll need to provide a copy of Microsoft Windows, but Boot Camp is included in Mac OS X Leopard. Setup is simple and straightforward — just as you’d expect with a Mac,” the company adds.

Apple then moves to outline the changes delivered in this update, revealing that one of the issues it addresses relates to the trackpad on MacBook laptops. Other fixes are noted in the update’s description.

“This update addresses issues with the Apple trackpad and turns off the red digital audio port LED on laptop computers when it is not being used,” the Mac maker says. “It also includes support for the Apple Magic mouse and wireless keyboard,” the company adds.

Boot Camp Drivers Update 2.2 for Windows is to be applied only on computers running Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Windows Vista using Boot Camp, according to the instructions. To make it clear, Apple notes that requirements include Boot Camp 2.1 installed prior to running the update and, for Windows Vista users, the Windows Vista Service Pack 2 applied.
