Apple has released a new version of its AirPort Utility app for iPhone and iPad, adding a fresh new look inspired by Jony Ive’s redesign of iOS 7.

Available as a free download from the iTunes App Store, AirPort Utility 1.3.2 is the first version of Apple’s Wi-Fi manager app that uses a flat interface, replacing all the skeuomorphic elements from the iOS 6 era.

The utility app works with all Apple 802.11n and 802.11ac Wi-Fi base stations, which includes AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme, and AirPort Time Capsule.

iOS 7 is moments away from release, as fans worldwide are waiting with their fingers crossed for Apple not to delay the download.

AirPort Utility 1.3.2 still works with older versions of the operating system, including iOS 5.0 and iOS 6.0 (and all incremental updates in between).
